Donald Trump Wins Presidency Again, Defeating Kamala Harris

Throughout the current election cycle, cryptocurrency has not been a dominant issue. However, there have been notable interactions between the presidential candidates and the crypto industry. Donald Trump, running as the Republican candidate for president for a third time, made efforts to engage with the crypto community. He spoke at a bitcoin conference, visited a crypto bar to hand out burgers, and made promises appealing to the industry, such as pledging to dismiss Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler.

On the other side, Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, has made a few general statements expressing support for the crypto industry. However, she has not extensively shared her views or policies on the matter.

As the 2024 election approaches, it will be interesting to see how cryptocurrency continues to intersect with the political landscape. Both candidates have made efforts to connect with the crypto community, but the depth of their understanding and commitment to the industry remains to be seen.
