1inch Partners with Sonic Network to Boost DeFi Trading

1inch DeFi Aggregator Expands with Sonic Labs High-Speed Network Integration

On June 19, the prominent decentralized finance (DeFi) aggregator, 1inch, revealed its strategic integration with Sonic Labs’ high-speed Sonic network, according to insights shared with Finbold. This significant development facilitates seamless token exchanges at competitive rates on the Sonic platform, while also enabling efficient cross-chain trading between Sonic and other Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible blockchains.

Sonic Network Enhancement in 1inch Wallet

As of today, the Sonic network is natively supported within the 1inch Wallet, including complete tracking capabilities via the Portfolio feature. This enhancement allows users to store, swap, and monitor their digital assets with newfound simplicity across the platform.

Seamless Platform Integration

The integration extends Sonic’s liquidity into 1inch’s Pathfinder, an intelligent routing algorithm. With this integration, traders leveraging the 1inch interface or the Developer Portal API will experience optimized transaction rates. Moreover, trades conducted on Sonic are safeguarded by 1inch’s integrated MEV (Miner Extractable Value) protection, ensuring transactions are executed swiftly, equitably, and securely.

Diverse User Benefits

This integration targets diverse user segments within the DeFi landscape. Active traders can expect faster transaction completions and narrower spreads. Developers gain the advantage of utilizing Sonic through the 1inch Developer Portal, which offers robust APIs for Swap, Balance, Spot price, and Transaction History functionalities.

Newcomers to DeFi can enjoy decreased fees, creating a more approachable entry into decentralized finance. For existing 1inch Wallet users, the Sonic features are readily accessible without any additional configuration, streamlining their experience.

Unifying the DeFi Ecosystem

Sergej Kunz, Co-Founder of 1inch, emphasized, “With this integration, users benefit from our gasless, industry-leading swap rates on Sonic, facilitating secure trading across chains without the need for bridges. This marks another milestone in our mission to unify the DeFi ecosystem, reinforcing our position as the leading DEX aggregator.”

Empowering Developers and Users

Michael Kong, CEO of Sonic Labs, remarked on the collaboration, noting, “The integration with 1inch serves as a powerful endorsement of our initiative. Sonic is a high-performance, developer-friendly chain designed to simplify and scale DeFi. By integrating Sonic’s capabilities with 1inch’s premier aggregation services, we are unlocking a seamless experience for users while empowering developers with extensive liquidity and advanced tools. This is a step forward towards a more unified, accessible financial future.”

Access to Multiple Protocols

The integration grants immediate accessibility to numerous protocols on Sonic, including but not limited to wS, Beets, Beets V3, WAGMI, stS, Shadow Exchange, Curve Stable NG, WOOFi V2, SwapX V2, Solidly V3, Uniswap V3, SpookySwap V2, SpookySwap V3, and Equalizer V2.
