Advancing Towards Simplified Crypto Transactions

Wallet, renowned as the premier custodial wallet within Telegram, significantly contributes to the democratization of cryptocurrency payments. It currently supports a range of digital currencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), various stablecoins, and Toncoin (TON)—the native token on Telegram’s proprietary Layer-1 blockchain, The Open Network (TON).

Enhancing User Experience and Accessibility

Mercuryo’s dedication to user-centric design and seamless currency conversion is at the core of this partnership. By enabling users to transform traditional fiat money into digital assets effortlessly, this collaboration is set to create a more welcoming environment for crypto novices.

Users can now conveniently purchase cryptocurrencies using local currencies through a variety of payment options, including debit and credit cards, as well as digital payment platforms like Google Pay and Apple Pay—all without leaving the Telegram platform.

Long-term Vision for Crypto Integration

Andrew Rogozov, CEO of Wallet in Telegram, highlighted the enduring nature of the Mercuryo integration. He noted that Wallet’s strategic approach has always focused on long-term goals. However, exorbitant on-ramp fees previously posed a significant barrier to entry for new crypto users, hindering broader adoption. The new collaboration with Mercuryo aims to remove these obstacles and facilitate a smoother onboarding process.

Creating Cost-effective Global Solutions

With Wallet offering access to a diverse array of cryptocurrencies such as BTC, TON, and Jettons, and Mercuryo supporting multiple fiat currencies, the partnership is poised to simplify global crypto transactions. This will provide users with a more affordable and effective payment solution, ultimately fueling the growth of cryptocurrency usage worldwide.
