Cryptocurrency Mining Companies Fueled by Nuclear Energy

As big tech giants continue to search for sustainable solutions to meet their growing energy demands, nuclear energy has emerged as a promising option. At the same time, policymakers in Washington are increasingly looking towards nuclear power as a cleaner alternative to ensure energy independence.

On Capitol Hill, there has been a noticeable shift towards supporting nuclear energy, with lawmakers passing several nuclear-related bills with overwhelming bipartisan support. One such bill, the Accelerating Deployment of Versatile Advanced Nuclear for Clean Energy (ADVANCE) Act, sailed through the Senate with a remarkable vote of 88-2 and passed the House by a vote of 393-13.

These legislative victories were followed by the House’s Atomic Energy Advancement Act and the Senate’s Fusion Energy Act, both of which garnered significant bipartisan sponsorship and backing. The White House has also joined the chorus of support for nuclear energy, unveiling a framework to deploy 200 GW of net new nuclear capacity by 2050 – effectively tripling the current U.S. nuclear energy capacity.

It is evident that nuclear energy now enjoys widespread bipartisan support in Washington, signaling a new era of cooperation on this critical issue.
